  • The listed damage number shown when you pick up a weapon already has all relevant scaling calculations included. The individual characters' stat scalings can be checked from the Visual Codex.
  • A small arrow appearing next to your level in the top left corner indicates having enough Runes to level up.
  • Unlike in base Elden Ring, the resistance bonuses from the various Bolus items are permanent for that run and elemental greases can be used even with weapons with a base elemental damage. Like all consumables, they can be used directly from the ground without needing to add them to your inventory first.
  • In a similar vein, if no reward from a boss is useful to you but might be for another group member, you can directly drop an item from the reward list on the ground without having to pick it up first (with the left face button on standard controller layouts) and even pin it to have it show up in other players' map.
  • The secondary passive effects of equipment apply even when not using that weapon, unless they're specifically marked with a hand icon that indicates having to have it in your active weapon slots. Only some weapons, mainly legendary ones, have passive effects that are tied to actively attacking with it. Equipment weight isn't a concept in Nightreign, so you can fill up empty equipment slots with useful passives.
  • All weapons have 100% physical resist when blocking, though in most cases blocking with a weapon is purely an emergency measure due to the stamina consumption.
  • Most merchants carry a first-level Smithing Stone that allow for upgrading a Common level weapon to Uncommon at an anvil also near merchants, and mineshafts always contain a mini-boss (either a troll, a pumpkin head or a greatshield knight) that drops a second-level Smithing Stone which allows for upgrading an Uncommon rarity item to Rare. This is most commonly useful if you have desirable effects on your starting weapon, such as one matching the expedition boss' elemental weakness.
