  • It's like Paper Mario, so remember your lessons on timed hits and blocking attacks.
  • There's a "timing tutor" in the accessibility options, which'll tell you "Too early" or "too late" for your timings.
  • Check behind and around everything you can, the environment hides lots of items.
  • 90% of the time, your outfit is purely cosmetic, but the game will inform you when you need a specific outfit (which happens twice, I think).
  • Second follower's "Tall Sprout" skill is tall, i.e. it hits flying enemies or an entire tower of stacked ones.
  • Some small amounts of coins respawn, so you're never fully without a source of income for items.
  • The "Power Up" badges are not as generous as their Paper Mario equivalent - they only apply to the first hit of your attack e.g. for Flynn's buckler throw. Consider poisoning the enemy instead (-2 DEF), which applies to all hits. Save your Sun gems.
